This is my last week as an intern with Semester Student Planner and what an amazing experience it has been.
One of the things that I really admire about Semester Student Planner is their focus on helping students manage their stress and anxiety. Being a recent post graduate university student myself, I know how challenging it can be to juggle everything, so it’s great to see a company that’s really trying to make a difference in this area.
During my internship, I worked as a Digital Marketer and I got to develop a lot of new skills. Some of my job tasks included: social media management (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn), filming and editing content for these platforms, writing blog articles on personal growth and mental wellbeing, developing skills on Mailchimp (marketing emails), planning marketing strategies for the company and other PR developments such as brand awareness and representing the brand.
One of the things that I loved most about my internship was how it pushed me out of my comfort zone. For instance, I had to talk to groups of students on campus to gather data for “The Student Voice” project – that was quite nerve-wracking, but I did it!Â
And the best part? I feel like I’ve grown so much as a person. I’m going to networking events, posting on LinkedIn, and just generally putting myself out there more. Doing weekly reviews (as their planner suggests) has helped me reflect on my work week, and it has been extremely helpful in boosting my confidence.
As my internship comes to an end, I feel grateful for the amazing experience that Semester Student Planner has provided me with. I learned a lot, grew as a person, and made some great connections. I’m looking forward to what comes next, and if the opportunity arises, I would definitely work for Semester Student Planner again.
